会唱歌但是不会写歌的奥斯汀·穆恩（Austin Moon）与会写歌但是害怕舞台的艾丽·道森（Ally Dawson）不“打”不相识。这对儿非同一般的搭档既要适应舞台上的闪光灯，又要应对普通的高中生活。当然还有他们各自的朋友翠西（Trish）与德兹（Dez）为其出谋划策。这四个好朋友之间又会闹出什么笑话来？
