商业钜子乔纳斯原本与妻子过著富有、安逸的生活，孰料被卷进一场恐怖份子的杀戮行动中。痛失爱妻、身心受创的乔纳斯生活从此脱轨，并深陷于悲伤中，且日渐把内心的悲痛转化成无法遏止的愤怒。为了报妻子惨死的仇恨，他开出二百万的高价，雇用了以代号“老鹰“为首的魔鬼佣兵团来追踪凶手的下落，这笔交易唯一的条件是他要与魔鬼佣兵们一起执行任务。
